Introduction to Jurong Lake Park

Jurong Lake Park is a recreational park and an important reservoir. It is located in Western region of Singapore, between Lakeside MRT station to Chinese Garden MRT station. Water catchment activities such as dragon boating is allowed. Fishing is only allowed in designated areas using artificial baits. 

There are several tourist attraction such as Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden. Currently, Jurong Lake Park is still developing  for offices, hotels, food and beverage and entertainment uses. 

New developments include:
  • A public park will be developed next to Lakeside MRT Station
  • New Science Centre will be built next to Chinese Garden MRT Station
  • Lakeside village
  • Enhanced Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden
Recently, a fund raising event, Jurong Lake Run 2012, is held in Jurong Lake Park. This year's theme is "Run for a Cause". 

About 120 birds species have been spotted in Jurong Lake Park.
